Lord Jut is one of the most prominent members of the Inner Party who is most notable for serving as Leader of Oceania after being elected for several terms. His origins rather humble as a mere industrial worker turned police officer to eventually rise to the most prestigious roles in Oceania demonstrates the Oceanic Dream.

Early Career

Jut was born to an average industrious prole family, this is where Jut learned the value of handwork and the overall plight of the proles. The young Jut was known for his innovations in refinement of minerals to increase efficiencies of yields which grabbed the attention of several wealthy benefactors whom paid for Jut to attend the University of Oceania where he received the finest global education. It was through this experience that Jut was able to rise to Outer Party status and enlist within a local police agency.

As a police officer, Officer Jut, responded to the same neighborhoods that he had grown up in and saw the devastation that the criminal element had brought upon the proles, particularly the unemployed known as degenerates. As Officer Jut rose through the ranks he earned prestige with the party for his full embrace of Oceanic values and loyalty to INGSOC. The Inner Party granted Officer Jut the title of Lord for his service to the people and the party. With this title came a country estate with large land holdings that Jut used to care for wounded service members fighting the war for peace. Upon election time he was encouraged to run for Leader of Oceania and received overwhelming support.

Karl the Koala is Lord Jut's pet Koala.

Offices Held

Leader of Oceania

Term I
Lord Jut has done impressive things for Oceania and has appointed the most competent ministry staff to carry this bidding out. Lord Jut reformed the legal system by establishing a codified index of Laws of Oceania whereas previously a system of common law had existed. Lord Jut also greatly improved the conditions of the proles by providing adequate housing, good rations and inflation control in lieu of contribution by the incumbent Minister of Plenty.

Lord Jut ruled by giving explicit instructions to his ministry staff direction on the correct path to take and oversaw the various projects through to their completion. This included the implementation of Phase II uniforms for law enforcement agencies. These replaced the legacy era Phase I uniforms that were symbolic of the previous departments before the great liberation movement by Big Brother.

Lord Jut lastly was responsible for the huge tax decrease of 3.5% during his tenure since he took office where previously proles were being harshly taxed at 4% to fuel the war effort. Lord Jut insisted on not running for the position of Great Leader for June because he felt the nation had greatly stabilized thus not requiring the careful hand of the benevolent Jut. As part of ensuring proper legitimacy to Oceania, Lord Jut chose not to run in the June election to allow a fresh face into power and to ensure the peaceful stability of Oceania's democratic process.

Term II
Lord Jut decided to run again for the position of Great Leader out of a burning desire to help the people of Oceania. This passion for helping grow Oceania was reflected in the polls resulting in Lord Jut being reappointed to the leadership role. Lord Jut appointed a diverse mixed cabinet with Lady Roro and Karla Mari maintaining roles as ministers.

Lord Jut instituted many reforms including implementing policies causing a greater amount of clothing to be made available to the common proles, many of the styles having being redesigned with a sense of patriotism for INGSOC. Among the other reforms were the expansion of protective laws designed to create a safer Oceania for all and increasing the funding for the Ministry of Love. Jut also responded by his own clever economic expertise to lower gas prices to a record low.

Minister of Truth

After choosing not to run again for the role of Leader of Oceania, Lord Jut was assigned to the role of the Minister of Truth. Lord Jut was instrumental in the design and implantation of the latest series of educational posters and has been aggressively promoting ideals of unity, service to the state and the patriotism in the time of war against the evil state of Eastasia. Lord Jut was appointed during the rule of Lady Roro. The education program and the updating of the public information posters proudly demonstrate the tremendous knowledge that Oceania wishes to impart on it's citizenry.

Jut also worked to correct inaccuracies that were found in the official histories that were put into place by Goldstein collaborators and sympathizers. The archive was updated to account for the bravery among Oceanic military forces in the defense of Oceania, and, the brave continued fighting in the war for peace.

Minister of Plenty

Lord Jut was appointed Minister of Plenty by Frank Nostra to overhaul the Ministry and fix lingering issues from the treasonous acts of Nixon. Lord Jut instantly began overhauling the economy and renovate the spaces occupied by the Ministry of Plenty to accommodate for new services offered. Lord Jut was personally responsible for the creation of Victory Bonds, Savings and Loans, and Safe Deposit programs. These services were designed to better serve the people of Oceania.
